My approach to ASC growth is intentionally selective and future-focused. As highlighted in Becker’s ASC Review, NueHealth’s recent partnerships reflect a belief that scale alone is not the strategy—alignment around value is. We prioritize markets where payers, providers, and surgeon partners are actively embracing value-based care, and we structure partnerships flexibly, whether through minority-equity joint ventures or non-equity management models, to meet the needs of each market. At the core of this strategy is a simple principle: ASCs must be built and operated to compete on measurable value—clinical quality and patient experience relative to cost—as the healthcare system continues its shift away from fee-for-service medicine.
